Jill AND Mary

Jillian Hernnessy (born on November 25, 1968) is a Canadian artist, actress and vocalist who made an impact on American television. She was the main character in the American TV series Law & Order, where she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three years. In Crossing Jordan she played Jordan Cavanaugh over six seasons. Hennessy showcased her talents in films that were independent, such as Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. The acting career of Hennessy began in 1988 when she and her sister acted as twin Callgirls on Dead Ringers. She appeared briefly in Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in Broadway in the year 1990. It was 1993 when Hennessy made her way out of musicals, and into the science-fiction genre, playing the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. She got her big break at the end of 1993, when she was cast as Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order. She received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and an Emmy Award. Parker is also the recipient in 2001 of the Tony Award for Best Actress for the Broadway play Proof.
