Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musical family on August 9th, 1963 in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. as well as a cousin of the singing sensation Dionne Warwick. Her mother and she started singing professionally at the New Hope Baptist Church of Newark when Whitney was only fifteen years old. The two sang backing vocals in Chaka Khans 1978 track Im Every Woman. Then she went on to perform backing vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine and her mother. The quality of her work as the featured vocalist of New York funk group Material was noticed by major record companies including Arista who she signed her contract in 1982, where she continued to work for the remainder of her life with them. The first Whitney Houston album was released in the year 1985. It would become one of the top-selling albums by an artist. The album All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one smash. The album's initial US year the album sold over 3 million units. Then it went on to be purchased by millions of people around the world and earned her her first Grammy. The album that followed it in 1987 Whitney that included hits The Place Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built the foundation of her popularity, however it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard (1992) that made her one of the most successful artists ever. Although the film was not very well received, nor was her performance, the soundtrack of her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the top spot on both the singles and album charts in the United States for months. The album sold over 44 million copies. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer and father of her sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she's more commonly known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter who also serves as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent. In the past, she has been the producer of shows on the network, such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'. The awards and honors she has received include her inclusion on the "The Women in Washington Power List" by Elle magazine. She is highly respected for her amazing abilities as a reporter/an anchor. She is a George Washington University graduate is an adoring mother of one son. The couple was divorced twice and she is now married. Bash one who loves to be determined and independent she is extremely devoted to her fans.
