Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman from America. She is the owner of control of the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association and currently acts as the association's president. Buss is the daughter of a California native who grew in a wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who went on to own the Lakers and other sports companies. In 1972, her parents split up and she felt emotionally left out. At the age 19 she was appointed the General Manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later she founded her own Los Angeles Blades pro roller hockey team. In the beginning, she was vice president of Lakers prior to taking over the presidency of Great Western Forum. Her father passed away in 2013 and his controlling control for the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust with each sibling having equal voting rights. Buss assumed the role of the head for the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also a co-founder of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based in Los Angeles.
